Paper Abstract:
|
This paper aims at investigating the idea of space applied to a virtual learning environment. A questionnaire was
submitted to 41,000 trainees enrolled in a mixed learning course in order to investigate their idea of on-line space and
their usage patterns. We analyzed their use of spatial deixes. Trainees were then asked to describe their experience using
metaphors. Eventually we discussed the differences between space and place and if the course had been successful in
achieving the status of place. |
